Glamis Castle and DAVAA
Our members were given the royal treatment when we headed to the magnificent Glamis Castle for the third of this years’ familiarisation days. Angus’ most popular attraction brings in visitors from all over the world and serves as a great tourism ambassador for the area that we can confidently recommend to all of our guests.
The visit began through the front door and down to the 16th century chamber for some tea, coffee and biscuits. Our host, Doreen Bruce welcomed us to the castle and we were then treated to a grand tour through the fabulously adorned halls and up into the former Royal accommodation. Our lovely tour guide for the day, Linda, took us on an informative and fun filled look at the history behind the paintings, furniture and architecture that make up the late Queen Mother’s former residence.
Glamis Castle is definitely a ‘must see’ for our guests and working in partnership with Strathmore Estates has enabled us to negotiate discounted tickets rates for admission to the castle, grounds and gardens throughout 2017. Our Accommodation Members can read more about this on our members home page
After the tour, soup and sandwiches were the perfect way to end our trip to ‘Scotland’s Most Beautiful Castle‘.
This event was free to our members.
