DAVAA Events /Tay Cities Regional Tourism Strategy Workshop – Perth

December 12, 2018 @ 9:30 am

An invitation for you to join a local tourism workshop to help shape the first Tay Cities Region Tourism Strategy for Angus, Dundee, Fife and Perth and Kinross.

In recent years, many key stakeholders and tourism businesses in the region have been working together to encourage visitors to extend their stays in our region, and to take advantage of the many things to do.

The opening of the V&A Dundee in September shone a spotlight on the region and with other recent and planned developments, there is an opportunity to take a more co-ordinated and collaborative approach to growing the visitor economy across the region. The four local authorities in the region, together with Scottish Enterprise and VisitScotland, have commissioned Toposophy Ltd to help create a Tay Cities Region Tourism Strategy which will bring together these collaborative opportunities in one document.

As visits to Scotland (and this region in particular) increase, we want to create a strategy that reflects local tourism ambitions by setting out a common vision and plan that will enable the region as a whole to better achieve its potential, and align with the national tourism strategy Tourism Scotland 2020.

We are holding four workshops across the region which will provide you with the opportunity to provide your thoughts on the priorities for this strategy. At a regional level we are looking for the areas you would like to see addressed and the opportunities you see for growing visitor spend and overnight stays across the region.

These workshops are free of charge and open to one representative per company/ organisation. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. You may wish to attend a session in a different region to your own so you can make new contacts and see new venues.
