DAVAA Events /Behind the scenes at the DCA – Tour
September 4, 2017 @ 2:00 pm
The Dundee Contemporary Arts has become a base for the visual arts in the cultural hub of Dundee’s Perth road. Located close to the Dundee Rep and Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design, the DCA houses two contemporary art galleries, a two-screen cinema, a print studio, a visual research centre and a café bar.
With 300,000 visitors coming through its doors every year, the DCA is an asset to the area as the focus of Dundee towards cultural tourism grows.
The afternoon would include tea, coffee, some nibbles, and a welcome from the Director, Beth Bate in the meeting room; a full tour of the building, including the galleries, activity room, Print Studio and a sneak peak into the cinema projection booths (the cinemas will have films on!). Then we will go back to the meeting room for more refreshments and some good old fashioned networking. DCA’s Head of Communications, Jess Reid, will join us too.
This event is free to our members.
